WSET® Wine Courses
Wine Courses are given in English in our large, sunny, wine tasting room using ISO glassware. Class size is limited to 12 people.
The Wine and Spirits Education Trust is a global organisation to promote high quality
education and sought after qualifications in wines and spirits. See
The two WSET® qualifications (Levels 1 and 2) are recognised throughout the world. It is not necessary to complete Level 1 before Level 2, therefore you can start at Level 2 if you wish. Level 2 is accredited as such in the UK National Qualification Framework as equivalent to a GCSE.
Why take a WSET® qualification at Auberge du Vin? This is a special opportunity to study wine in the heart of a classic French wine region. You can see the vines from the classroom, taste the local wines, speak with their winemakers and hear about the latest developments in the vineyards and wineries. All this will help create a lasting impression of the course and increase your understanding of wine.

"Doing the WSET® Level 2 wine course was a revelation!
It was exciting to see that there was a logical way of identifying different grape varieties, and actually at last being able to recognise and appreciate much more what the differences were. Covering wines from around the world was a real bonus too and appreciating how the same grape, when grown in different climates, made completely different wine.
Loved every minute of it, learnt a lot, and now have a certificate to say I know a bit more as well. Thank you Linda for your effortless and fun teaching style!"
QUOTE from Brigid Kennedy Director – AngloINFO Provence, who gained her WSET® Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits at Auberge du Vin in 2010.
"Midge and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you both for a wonderful 'Wine Experience'. We could not imagine a more perfect spot to do the WSET® Level 2 course. We woke up each morning to the most amazing vineyard scenery, which we could appreciate while having a lovely breakfast, always the perfect start to an exciting day of the world of wine.
As for putting in study time, no one believes me when I tell them that I was worried about failing and that while the other guys were playing football, I was studying hard. The photos by the pool, laying on a lounger with a view of the vineyards, did not convince anyone! And then, just when we thought that the experience could not get any better...we both go and pass with distinctions! Our wonderful teacher Linda of course deserves most of the credit!!"
Testimony from Gina and Midge Brown, who gained their WSET® Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits at Auberge du Vin in the summer of 2011.
